SINGER® is conducting
its first Sewing and Embroidery Clinic on the road! The clinic features
the Professional Sew-Ware™ and the Quantum® XL-5000/6000
and has been created to provide an opportunity for you to receive
in-depth instruction on both the software and embroidery machine.
By attending the Sewing and Embroidery Clinic, you will discover
how to enjoy your complete SINGER® digitizing, embroidery and
sewing system to its fullest!
What Will I Learn at the Clinic?
In the Professional Sew-Ware™ portion of the clinic, you will
work hands-on with the PSW™ 2.00a. You will learn a variety
of techniques using this software, such as digitizing and editing,
creating your own designs, and creating design layouts for multi-hoop
and continuous hoop embroidery. You will also cover a variety of
techniques to create better embroidery for single, multiple and
continuous hoop design layouts.
In the sewing machine portion of the clinic, you will work hands-on
with the Quantum® XL-6000. You will also learn how to use the
regular sewing portion of the Quantum® XL-6000 by creating a
finished project, using the embroidery designs created during the
clinic. The class
schedule gives a description of the agenda for the
entire seminar.
What Do I Need to Bring to the Clinic?
All you need to bring is your desire to learn! The Singer Sewing
Company will provide computers and Professional Sew-Ware™
for you to use. SINGER® will also provide the Quantum® XL-6000
sewing/embroidery machines for classroom use. If you do not own
the Quantum® XL-6000 or the PSW™, this is a great opportunity
to “try-before-you-buy!”
How Do I Register for the Clinic?

participant with as much individual attention as possible. Reserving
a place in the clinic will be confirmed only when full payment of
the registration fee is received. Registration must be received

Where Is the Digitizing Clinic Being Held?
The Sewing & Embroidery Clinic will be held at the Schaumburg
Marriott, located at 50 North Martingale Road in Schaumburg, Illinois.
It is located in the heart of Woodfield Center, which includes the
famous Woodfield Shopping Center.
On the evening before classes begin, Wednesday, November 8th from
6:00-7:00 P.M., there will be an informal “Meet & Greet.”
Light refreshments will be served and you will have an opportunity
to meet the other participants as well as our instructors and hosts.
Class will begin each day promptly at 8:00 A.M. in our hotel meeting
room. Our Clinic sessions will end for the day at 5:00 P.M so that
you can enjoy your evening (on your own) and perhaps take in some
of the area attractions.
Do You Have Recommendations for Hotels?
The Schaumburg Marriott is our hosting hotel. Contact the hotel
directly for room reservations. Call (847) 240-5199 and tell them
that you are with the SINGER® group. The special event room
rate is $139.00, plus applicable taxes. You are responsible for
making your own hotel accommodations. Please keep in mind that they
will not be able to answer questions regarding the class curriculum.
Do I Have to Know Computers for the Digitizing Clinic?
This class is about learning to use PSW™ 2.00a software. It
is not designed to teach basic computer skills. Therefore,
if you are somewhat new to using a computer, you may want to take
an introductory computer skills class in your local area before
coming to clinic. The instructor will then be able to cover as much
material as possible relevant to PSW™, and you will benefit
more from the instruction.
Who Will Be Teaching at the SINGER Clinics?
There will be two SINGER Education Consultants leading the classes.
They are well versed in using the PSW™ 2.00a, and embroidery
machines, and they have had years of experience teaching this embroidery
software and sewing/embroidery machine line.
