I am pretty crafty, but I had not yet purchased a sewing machine to take things to the next level. Boy, am I glad I did. This machine takes care of little things around the house hemming, repairs, etc. but also a variety of more complicated sewing adventures. I made a Spartan costume for a party right out of the gate! I can't see myself outgrowing this gem anytime soon because of the variety of stitches and reliable metal parts. This machine does Singer proud!

I like it but wish there was a manual so I don't have to stop and go to my computer to look at things and I shouldn't have to pay for one.

This is the very first brand new, not second-hand, machine I've purchased - and I am very pleased with this machine. It is an excellant choice for a first sewing machine purchase as well as for a beginner and an intermediate sewer.

This is such an easy machine to plug in, sew a few things, and quickly put back in the closet for next time! Great investment for crafty moms with limited time.

Not a good machine, bought it last night, still not working, sent e-mail to customer service no reply, called customer service whole company in meeting, two hour time blocked out right at lunchtime when consumers would be most likely to call. very unhappy with purchase and lack of customer service.

I bought the sewing machine because I have bought singer before and it was always a good sturdy machine . I bought this one and brought it home and used it and it was noisy and it was all plastic. I was registering it and turned it over to find out it was made in Vietnam!! I was appalled!' Can't we make anything in the U.S.A.?
I returned it to the store!!
good enough

valuable, all features are good but automatic needle threader function requires a bit expert hand, so far it is good but i m afraid it may damage as i m not expert enough!
Pretty good
Overall Rating:
Pros: Good Value, Great Features
Cons: Complicated
This machine is very finicky, but it works. I know how to thread a sewing machine, but this little guy requires constant re-threading due to the thread falling off of the lever. Not sure how it happens, but making sure the needle is completely up prevents this issue, it seems. I had constant tangles in my work due to this tiny issue, but threading it properly prevents it, so I'm not complaining.
Aside from that, I haven't run into any other problems. This machine is quite the beast, and I really like it, especially for its price. I would recommend it to someone who is more of an experienced sewer who wants something cheap, rather than a beginner. I think a beginner would have too many problems with how finicky this machine is.
