Pros:
Good Value, Great Features, Easy To Use, High Quality

This is the first sewing machine I have ever brought and I love it. Most of my sewing machine were given to me so I never had to buy one, then the time came. The features on the 6160 are awesome, this machine sew like a dream for me. Easy to set up and use, stich selections is awesome and most of all it was at the right price. I was going back and forth between brands and decided Singer was the best for me. My sister had a chance to sew on it and she loved it so I know it was the right machine.

This machine is fantastic, So many said it was not a good machine. I find that not true. Treat is like a sewing machine and follow directions and it works great. No complaints here.

This is the best machine I have every owned. It is very simple to use and by far the best. I will never need another machine again. This machine will last me a lifetime. I am in love with this machine. I can't go one day without using this machine. I have to find something to sew just so I can use my machine. I get a lot of my sewing projects done with this machine.

Pros:
Good Value, Great Features, Easy To Use

This machine was so easy to learn on and begin using for a complete novice. I had no idea how to do anything, but after a quick read of the manual and a couple of YouTube videos, I was off and going. I've made 2 quilts and repaired countless rips and tears.

VERY Disappointed

I was thrilled to purchase this machine to add to my collection. However, it worked horribly from the get go. The bobbin thread bird nests from the very first stitch. I am using the correct type bobbin, have checked tension, and am using good quality thread but this makes no difference. I unfortunately purchased this machine refurbished from an online seller who will not take it back. After being on hold with Singer for quite some time, a very lovely girl on the other end of the phone could hear that the machine was clearly not working correctly. To my disappointment, the best that SInger will do is fix it, because it is under warranty, but I have to pay to ship the dumb machine out of state. Not sure why I have to pay for shipping twice (once from the seller and again to have it fixed) when it should work in the first place. Why would Singer send out a factory refurbished machine (like new) have it not work, and not even send me a shipping label to get it to a certified Singer Service Center? This is poor customer service. Not going to buy a Singer EVER again! Especially if I have to ship it out of state every time I want it serviced. Ridiculous.
