Machine is a bit noisy. Love the needle threader. Nice selection of decorative stitches. The alphabet stitches are a disappointment. Over all it is a good machine.
Pros:Good Value, Great Features, Easy To Use, High Quality

The Curvy is a great machine for learning sewing and it includes an easy to follow instruction manual. I appreciate the needle up/down position selector switch that keeps the needle down especially when you have to turn fabric. The automatic needle-threader is a bonus. The variety of stitches has helped me with creating some beautiful top stitches. I look forward to learning even more on my machine.
I highly recommend the Curvy for anyone who's in the market for a reliable machine.

I have a small alteration business in my home and use this Curvy as my main machine. I like the new threading system and needle threader. Haven't used all the decorative stitches - but I'm working on it.
After using my Featherlight for more years than I can count, I purchased the 8780. So far have tried out many of the available stitches and am very pleased. My only disappointment is there is no info on the different pressure feet I received. Have tried to get info online but can't find for some of the feet.
I have been sewing many years, beginning on my mother's 1951(year) godzilla stright stitch Singer. My favorite machine was my XL50 until the mother board died. I recently purchased the 8780 Curvy and sewed all weekend. I am in love again! Easy to use. Good quality.

I am surprised that it has so much for quilting. My old Athenia was a great machine.
But for the price the Curvey is a super value.
I make quilts and this is my second new machine in 35 years. I love it.
