Tension Dials Could Be Improved.

The tension dials are hard to turn and 2 of them are falling apart. Love this machine, but would like to get those dials fixed.

Good Value, Great Features, Easy To Use, Easy To Thread By Tying On New Thread, Loosening Tension And Pulling New Thread Through - Just Like The Instructions Mention! , Manual Is Very Easy To Understand. Dvd Is Good To Follow Along With Too.

This is a very good home machine. I have been a sewer for over 30 years and have used sergers before; home and industrial models. I read the manual first and watched the DVD as I went along with it, to learn it's capabilities before starting my projects. I have used this for making clothing, grocery bags and draperies so far. Say Good Bye fabric stash!!!

Good Value, Easy To Use, High Quality, The Price On Amazon.com Could Not Be Beat

I purchased this machine as a backup to my Singer QuantumLock 14T957DC, a 5-thread combination overlock, chain stitch, and coverstitch. It was getting a little long in the tooth -- still running fine -- but I wanted to have a backup. Also wanted to set up one machine to do the 3- and 4-thead work while the other was set up to do the more advanced work. I have had the Pro Finish machine for about a month and it is fine. I had a little trouble with setting the tensions because it was set up for woven fabric and I was working on a ponte knit. I finally got the tensions set to look as good as the woven sample. My older machine has a little container to catch scraps and this one does not. Other than that, I am very satisfied.

Poor Quality, Poor Customer Service For Fixing It.

I have sewn for 37 years. I purchased a singer because I am used to having a good quality product. I have never owned a serger but previously worked in a factory with a serger. I purchased mine in March of 2013 and began using it about 4 months ago...just taking it out of the box for the first time. I used it and tried to adjust the stitch length, and my machine seized up...I sent it away and it was returned with the same issue. it had not been fixed. I was told that they will call singer to ask what to do...in the meantime I am without my machine...and out 180 bucks. this machine is not the quality I have come to know in a singer.

After reading other reviews I was a little hesitant to purchase this serger but it was a good price so I decided to go for it. I was pleasantly surprise at the ease of learning how to thread the machine. The DVD included was excellent. This is my first serger so I can't compare it to the ease of threading/using others; however, the hardest part for me was actually threading the two needles. I am right- handed and the placement of the needles versus other parts made it a little difficult to get to the needles' eye to thread. Using the included tweezers helped, and after a couple times I found it much easier. Noise level was another issue I was concerned about but it doesn't make any more noise than my sewing machine. So far I'm loving it.
