Pros:Good Value, Easy To Use, Keeps Going Without Service For A Long Time
Cons:Won't Wind Bobbins (i Use A Sidewinder)
I've had this machine for 5 years now and I use it practically every day. Since I sew for my family and am starting to sew for customers, I need a good heavy-duty machine that won't make me fuss with it a lot. This one has filled the bill until just recently, the timing has gotten further and further off until it won't stitch at all. I'm hoping that the repair guy can get it back to 100% because I hate to be without it even though I have 5 other machines.
I bought this commercial grade machine 4/29/12 because I had about 3000 yds. of material to sew in straight lines. I felt that a lighter machine might burn up the motor. I never finished the project on the machine. The arm bent - and it no longer works. I finished it on my old Kenmore model. I tried calling the repair stores shown on the warranty and found BOTH numbers are no longer in service. I had to go to the web page to find another location. It is two hours away. I have been waiting for the Singer company to acknowledge that they, in fact, have my warranty card. I recieved confirmation of that today 8/1/12. Now I can try to get it fixed!
Excellent starter machine as well as for experienced seamstresses. Easy to use, good value, easy to purchase extra accessories, parts, and get local service. The one drawback that concerns me the most is the presser foot, after some use, falls off at the most inopportune times. In fact, it's downright frustrating. Anybody have any ideas?
Pros:Good Value, Great Features, Easy To Use, High Quality, Portable

I have been looking for a machine for a while and my fiance surprised me for my Birthday. I have sew a few things on it already and I just love it. It is very easy to use and the instruction booklet is actually handy.
