I love this machine. Recently I have been doing a lot of sewing for a club we belong to, and my old machine couldn't handle sewing on thicker materials and when I tried sewing leather, it killed it. But this machine blazes through all my projects at an amazing speed. its it powerful and easy to control and has just enough features and stitches to make it a great deal at the price. I love my new machine,
I have had this machine for a little over four years and I LOVE IT. It's ability to sew through thick denim and not even hesitate is amzing, not to mention the ease of use and understanding is wonderful.
The only thing that I have found that I don't like is that there isn't a light where the presserfoot is, but a small desk lamp solved that. This has been a wonderful machine and I put it to work. I would defenitly sujest this machine to anyone who is looking for a inexpencive, good quality , machine
Pros:Good Value, Great Features, Easy To Use, High Quality, Sews Through Anything, Thick Layers
Cons:There Are No Cons

I needed a heavy duty sewing machine and picked out the singer heavy duty 110. I have been using it daily for over a year and I love it. It sews like butter, has a beautiful stitch, and will go through leather like it was cotton. The only thing the instructions ask you to do is not pull on the thread when the pressure foot is down, witch is a good rule of thumb. I have a busness making handbags and use a lot of thick denim with leather trim, I have never had a problem, I trust this machine, I highly recomend it. I also have two antique singer machines that are industrial and will go through wood :0) Bit the 110 is the hardes hit and is so easy to use, it does what it says and I just adore it. A good, veru good machine. God bless
Purchased this machine brand new to add to my 4 other machines I use on a regular basis. I wanted something for heavier fabrics and some upholstery projects. Now the machine won't pull up the bobbin thread. I went through all the information and manual I received, and everything is as it should be. Guess I'll go back to the machine I was going to retire-I've used it for 40 years and have had zero problems. I won't be wasting my money on a Singer machine again. This machine has not been used enough to have any problems.

The HD110 is a solid performer with none of the "super" extra bells and whistles. While the extras would be nice, I found the HD110 fits all of my needs from repairs to making heavy duty projects. I don't know that I would use any extras. The manual is a little spotty with good diagrams, and the product is made out of Brasil. The thread post on the back of the machine is off kilter by a few degrees. I can live with that. It just bugs me a little when looking for that machine with sleek, nice straight lines to sew all of those perfect projects.
I’m a beginner and teaching myself to sew. This is my first machine and I’ve owned it for about a year now. I bought the HD 110 because I wanted to be able to repair my jeans or leather jackets. The machine is excellent for that and is capable of doing a lot more than the few uses I perform regularly. It goes through leather and jean fabric with ease and has selectable stitches. I’m using it to reupholster a chair and the seats in my old firebird. The one issue I have with it though is that the lighting is so dim. I had to buy a table lamp with a 100 watt bulb to clearly see what I’m sewing. This is my first machine and I can only compare the lighting to my mother’s machine from years ago and it seems the light on hers was pretty good. The light on the HD 110 could and should be a lot brighter and it would be nice to have a few more different stitches as well. So far this has been a good little work-horse and I’m very satisfied with my purchase.

I gave this 5 stars because I used this workhorse for two years with no problems. However, I never was able to use the threader. Now I have discovered that it is faulty; the threader wraps around the needle but there is no "catch" that goes through the needle to grab the thread! Also, I have never changed the foot that came with the machine as I did not need to for the things I was sewing. I decided to try all the other feet that came with this machine after watching Darlene on HSN using them again. That's when the trouble started. I had a hard time "popping" the foot off which surprised me. Then no matter what I did I could not get another foot to snap on the shank. My friend and I finally unscrewed it to see if somehow I could get any foot to snap in, including the original. It didn't happen and I do not do much sewing with the additional feet included with the longer shaft. I wrote to Singer for help and told them my story; I have not heard back yet. Yes, this machine was wonderful, threader or not but if I can't get a shaft that I can snap my feet unto, the machine will now be useless to me. I have other machines all with the snap on feet and have never had any problems. Buy this machine but try everything the first thirty days or else!
I bought the HD110 last spring and haven't been able to use it hardly at all. This machine is not what I thought it would be. It worked fine for a while when I first got it. The threader doesn't work. When I start sewing it does fine for a while then the thread break. The machine is easy to use, but the quality is not there. I had singer before and had know problems. I went back to my other machine it does a lot better.
I just purchased this sewing machine and do not know if I like it or not because I cannot use it. No instruction manual is included with the purchase. I haven't sewn anything for many, many years and recently retired and thought I might like to try sewing again, so I purchased the Singer HD110. I'm disappointed in the Singer company - - to charge extra for an instruction manual for their product is not cool! I could understand if I lost my manual, but one was not even included. Very disappointed!
I bought this machine about 1 year ago and have used it to make a new Renaissance costume. . The material layered up quite heavy and the HD110 breezed through all layers without a problem. I love the portability and grab it to use at other peoples homes. I have used it for regular sewing, mending, and drapery construction. I have an old cam machine (Kenmore, 1970). I also have a White Super Lock Serger. My Singer gets the most use! I love the simplicity of it. The only cons are that the light is terrible!!!!, and the instruction book is cluttered with both English and Spanish co-existing on the same pages.Ugh.
Got my singer hd110 yesterday. It is great! Much nicer than I had imagined it would be. Sews smooth and powerful. I read all I could about it such as theading etc. while I was waiting to get it. The threading, bobbin winding everything went fine the first time. The large extension table is really nice too. A nice plus for the machine. Thanks singer and hsn.
This machine is my best friend. I use it every day for everything I create. It is a lot of machine for the value price. It is pretty basic and that is fine considering what I was sewing on this is a upgrade for me. The machine is beautiful I love the look of this metal machine. The only thing I do not like is the plastic feet it came with. This was a huge turn off for me. My mother in law brought me a whole treasure chest of metal feet and I found some that would fit. This made me happy. The machine is very powerful and stands up to all of my daily sewing abuse.
