Happy Holidays!

It’s hard to believe we are nearing the end of another year…the holidays are just around the corner! We hope that you have enjoyed the lessons that we have provided in Embroidery Made Easy this year, and learned fun new ways to enjoy your SINGER® FUTURA™ sewing and embroidery machine.

Though this is a busy time of year, we encourage you to take a little time for yourself and enjoy the lesson this month, which once again provides more insight to using the Editing software. This month’s project is great fun and can also provide a last minute gift! Using a combination of topics learned over this past year, you will create a beautiful heirloom ornament that originates in the software, from start to finish. This ornament will be one to cherish for years to come. Finally, you’ll learn where to find quick and easy keyboard commands that will aid you in using the software for the SINGER® FUTURA™ sewing & embroidery machine.

Once again, Happy Holidays!

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is the time of year when we reflect on life’s many blessings. We would like to wish you and your family all the best in this holiday season!

This is also the season for giving, and who doesn’t love a hand made gift? The project this month is perfect for gift giving! It’s a warm and cozy scarf embellished with a favorite school or team initials. The recipient of your gift will surely appreciate your thoughtfulness, and you’ll appreciate how quick this project is to create. Made from fleece, the scarf features two-colored lettering, which is the focus of this month’s issue of Embroidery Made Easy. You’ll learn basic editing techniques, including how to change the colors of the letters and how to edit and change the texture of the fill within the letter.

Finally you’ll discover different ways to arrange multiple canvases on your screen in the Inside your Software article. Grab a cup of hot apple cider and let’s get started!

Fall is Here!

Who doesn’t love the beautiful colors of autumn? Splashes of yellows, golds and reds paint the landscape around us. Those beautiful colors are also a reminder that the holiday season is just around the corner. Now is the perfect time to start your holiday sewing, and what could be better than creating your projects with your SINGER® FUTURA™sewing & embroidery machine? This month’s issue of Embroidery Made Easy  will expand on a few of the functions that are available in the AutoPunchTM Draw Package. Because there are so many tools to use in the Draw Package, we are narrowing it down to some of the basic drawing tools. These tools provide you with the ability to create basic shapes to use with the  AutoPunchTM digitizing wizard.

In addition, you’ll use your new skills to create a beautiful napkin ring that is perfect for your fall table.  Then, you’ll learn how to use the Trace Design function in this month’s Inside Your Software article.
